We've been working on honing our ideas for the exhibition design. In particular looking at a design or motif to run around the space. We decided to focus on two items from the collection, a robe and a rank badge as we felt these contained motifs that didn't look too traditional, the pieces also fitted in with our colour palette. We traced parts of the patterns we liked and played with them to make motifs for the Gallery walls. We've been working with Interior designer Jacqui Towndrow who took our ideas and mocked them up into possible designs and colours.
