The exhibition team have been working away, planning the lay-out for the exhibition and the design of the space. They have come up with a colour scheme and a collection of ideas which we are mocking up into designs so we can see which we like.
We are now working with an Interior Designer who is helping us pull together our ideas and working them up into possible designs.
The group have been collecting images as inspiration for the designs.
We've also starting thinking about interactive elements, Adam bought in a range of perfume and essences for us to try out to see if it was a possibility to add some smells to the exhibition. Paul from NCMG bought in some museum essences for us to smell that they already use in the Museum to conjure up different environments. We smelt cigars and pine forest essences! In the collection there are some purses that were used to carry fragrant flowers so we may see if we can find some of the flower smells to go with this part of the exhibit.
