Here's some information about what we'll be up to..
Illuminate’s next project is about Contemporary Collecting. We’ll be looking at Nottingham Museum’s Jewellery collection, talking about the Jewellery we or our family own and the stories and memories behind them. We’ll be researching contemporary Jewellery and visiting contemporary Jewellery makers and Galleries as well as taking part in practical workshops. The aim of the project is to research and buy a piece of Contemporary Jewellery for the Museum Collection which will be displayed as part of the “Spotlight on Jewellery” exhibition at Nottingham Castle spring 2013.
This project is a joint project with Nottingham Museum’s People’s panel.
