We were keen to get planning and marketing for the event and so have started to brain storm ideas.
After discussing events and protests that the group have been involved in we decided that some of the key points for planning the day were
To come together with a shared idea- What is it?
Be specific about what we are trying to do and why we are there
Maybe use our manifesto or something similar as a starting point
For example: Our ideas for a better world, create activities that link, then think about yours,
A positive message/positive action
Don't just believe what you're told, ask questions
Listen to other people's point of view even if you think they are wrong
Be your own person, your own journey
The mind of a philosopher
Pick apart your own views
We wanted visitors to have their views challenged and questioned as well as being able to discuss issues, learn creative ways to share their views and ideas and come away feeling they are able to take positive action and have learnt skills to give them a voice.

Illuminate takes over
A World to Win
Illuminate invites
you to question your thoughts, share your creativity, and find your voice
Take part in debates
and workshops, learn new skills and have fun.
The day draws on the
themes of the exhibition 'A World to Win' Posters of Protest and Revolution and
is hosted by the Illuminate group, NCMG's young volunteer group for 15 -24 year
olds.
Here are some of our initial ideas of what might happen on the day
Encourage people to be active participants and involved
straight away
Perhaps ask people to choose a badge with a slogan on which says something about what they believe and links to the theme of the day.
Get people thinking
We could show short films in
one gallery ( like amnesty international shorts) with cushions on floor?
